All 2012 Futurity entries must be a horse nominated to the NRHA North American Nomination Program. For nomination conditions and a list of nominated horses, go to the Nomination page.

To make a new Futurity entry, between February 1 and April 1 (postmarked), you will need to fill out an entry form and submit it with payment of $1,125. This includes the first, second and third payments ($650) Judges Fee ($75) and a late fee ($400). After your entry is processed, a payment book will be sent to you by post mail. All subsequent payments must be made whether the payment book is received or not. Your next payment is due June 1.

The total cost of an entry is $2,195. This amount is divided among six payments, spaced throughout the course of 10 months. If you do not make a payment by the deadline, you must pay a late fee if you make the payment at a later date. Please read the 2012 Futurity Conditions for details about missing payments.

Is your horse a Sire & Dam eligible horse? Sire & Dam horses are those horses that are the result of a Sire & Dam Program breeding. The horse's competition license should have "Sire & Dam" printed on it or you should have received a Sire & Dam certificate from the breeder. If your horse is a Sire & Dam horse, the 1st payment isn't due until July 1st. If you are unsure if your horse is a Sire & Dam horse, contact Karen Shedlauskas at karens@nrha.com or the NRHA office at 405-946-7400.

What are the benefits of having a Sire & Dam horse? 1) Your 1st Futurity entry payment isn't due until July 1st. 2) You get to pay reduced entry fees (see the Futurity Conditions for the reduced amounts). 3) The horse doesn't have to be nominated in the NRHA North American Nomination Program to enter the Futurity. However, if you're interested in receiving the pay checks from the Nominator's Incentive they must still be nominated.
